This is probably about 2-3 resoles. If the shoe is being resoled by the manufacturer, they can actually relast the shoe, strip the gemming, apply new gemming and welt, and resole again.A good leather sole will last a long time even when walking on concrete. However, I wouldn't say AE's standard leather soles are particularly good. A rubber sole will probably do a better job. However, there's no reason your shoes can't last that long.
